Job and operational management features

In the job management feature, it is possible to define and execute jobs (in any form or order) on the registered nodes. By linking the monitor management feature and the job, it is possible to link and execute job according to the monitoring result.

●Efficiency through Jobnet: Collectively defines and executes multiple jobs in any order.
●Batch control multiple servers: Collectively executes process on multiple nodes grouped in a scope (group).
●Argument and user specification of the job command: It is possible to specify the argument and the user of the command executed in the job.
●Calendar operation: Job can be started, stopped, suspended, or resumed by any assigned time and schedule.
●Notification of job execution result: Execution result of a job can be notified to the monitoring feature.

Monitor management function

Managed nodes can be monitored in various methods and the monitoring result can be checking on the screen. In addition, Hinemos has the feature to output the monitoring result to PDF, the feature to make e-mail notification, and the feature to link with the job management feature. By using these features, authorized people will be aware of the situation faster and can make quick decisions.

●Health monitoring of network devices

・ping monitoring: alive monitoring
・SNMP trap monitoring: Receives SNMP trap message from the management object.
・Log file monitoring: Monitors messages in the designated log file (application text log files etc.).
・Windows event monitoring: Monitors messages in Windows event logs.

●Extensible monitoring capabilities

・SNMP monitoring: Obtains and monitors the management information using SNMP.
・Custom monitoring: Monitors the results of implementing user-defined commands/scripts.

Determines the monitoring result and displays the alert in accordance to its level. This alert can be sent to the administrator. It is possible to link the monitoring result to the job, and to perform automated response after the occurrence of an error.

In performance management feature, it is possible to display the resource information of the CPU, the memory, the disk, and the network by the scope or the node in a graph.

●Displays performance graph in real time: In performance management feature, the current resource information will be displayed in real time.

●Collection feature of the actual performance information: It is possible to obtain and to collect specified resource information within the specified period.

●Cloud management option (Standard): Hinemos cloud management option is the cloud integration (IaaS) capability of Hinemos. It allows the user to construct, manage, and use cloud-based services. Through this option, the user can manage a multi-cloud environment, containing a mix of an on-premise system and private/public clouds, as if it were one single cloud. Hinemos offers an unified interface that makes it possible to implement and manage a system without having to bother about the differences between the environments of the contained entities. The Standard version offers limited capabilities and is free.

●HA option: In HA option, duplicate Hinemos Managers are created to improve the availability. Additional clustering software and shared storage are not required.

●SDN option (Software-Defined Netwo rk option): The SDN option combines network virtualization technology and server virtualization technology to produce an integrated virtualization environment by using OpenFlow(*1). It offers both speed and flexibility built into a foundation for your cloud. When you combine the SDN option with the operation management/virtual machine management capability offered by Hinemos, it reduces the burden of managing a cloud. It offers multi-faceted support services to help manage complex clouds created with different virtualization technologies. It speeds up the automatic construction of your infrastructure.

●Job map option: The job map option presents a graphical image of the job follow diagram, the job status, and the job implementation results. It simplifies the creation of jobs and jobnets, conditional implementation of jobs, and job contexts by employing the drag-and-drop method. It is an extremely helpful option for creating and managing several hundred to more than 10,000 large-scale jobs.

●Node map option: In Node map option, it is possible to place events and scopes on a map and display monitoring subjects graphically. Compared with the basic Hinemos administration screen, the administrator will have a better image of any failure or any error by looking at the map.
